Cottonwood Security & Ornamental Iron

We live in a four story condominium community in downtown slc which housed an unsecured two level parking garage. Both levels of our garage had open access to foot traffic from all four sides. Theft, vandalism, break-ins, and homeless squatting had become a huge issue for us! Cottonwood Security and Ornamental Iron were fantastic in assisting us to secure our problematic garages. They quoted us the most affordable price of any company we contacted. The final result of our security bars is excellent! They took into consideration that this project needed to be aesthetically pleasing/match the building, and that the bars needed to fully secure an area that would be tested by the current challenges of downtown slc- they accomplished both! We got two security screens installed and love them both. Bob came out and took the measurements and Zack installed them; both very personable and easy to work with. I’d recommend them.

Bob seems like a nice person, but the work that they do is terrible. The first security door they installed wouldn't even close, and the installer seemed to think that would be okay. Instead of making a whole new door for the second attempt, they reused the window panel. This made it so the lock set would not fit properly. They blamed it on the lock set I supplied, but I supplied the exact same Wright Serenade lock set, but in black. I called Wright Products to make sure there were no other versions. They clearly made a mistake with their measurements, again. Now there is raw, rough steel showing. I'm sure it will rust. The installer had to hammer and bend the strike plate to fit. Not to professional. The installer also need to move the existing steel frame for some reason. No

This is from 3 years ago, and I apologize for that. The work I had done was very expensive, but I think they did a good job. My big complaint is that I had white vinyl fencing on my front porch and before Cottonwood came out, I gave it away to a couple who wanted it. The guy came over and removed it all and took it with him. I believe that Cottonwood had it listed on my bill for 200$ to remove the white fencing. When I mentioned to Bob that I wanted the 200$ removed from the total, he literally laughed in my face and mumbled something like, "oh we don't do that". I was going to discuss it further when they asked for payment, but surprise, surprise, they automatically charged my credit card without notifying me. I am pretty sure that is illegal. So they took payment for a service they
