I hired Craig Van Lines after interviewing three additional companies. Fred Craig personally sat with me in my kitchen and assured me that his company was built on family reputation, long-standing employees, and quality service. That assurance is why I chose them — they were not the lowest quote. Our move date was December 15th. It was 24° outside — not ideal conditions — but it was the agreed date, and everyone had a job to do. The crew arrived and I welcomed them into my home, trusting them with our belongings. The packers, however, arrived hours later and only sent two people, despite knowing we had significant artwork, collectibles, and a full kitchen. From start to finish, the entire team was incredibly friendly, patient, and professional. They handled all of our belongings with so much care and attention, treating everything as if it were their own. What truly stood out was how comfortable they made the entire process. Moving can be stressful, but they were calm, kind, and reassuring every step of the way. They never rushed us, answered all our questions with patience, and made sure everything was done exactly how we wanted. Craig provided a very hard working team for both packing and moving. The moving crew started at 9am and worked well after dark to unload. They delivered all of our furniture and boxes with not a single thing broken or damaged. There was a minor scuff on one wall during the move out process and they responded very quickly and positively with fix options. The only thing I was a little dissatisfied with was the price, which was significantly above the estimated amount. But, to be fair, we had a lot of stuff in the house that may not have been obvious to them when they estimated. I would definitely use Craig again.

Fred's team of professionals arrived early, and finished 2 hours ahead of estimate. Cost of move was reduced, which was both appreciated and unexpected. We will be using them again to move some other furniture from Newark DE to Woodbridge VA this Spring. I highly recommend them!
