I contacted Greg for a plumbing job after being referred to us by a contractor. I gave Greg our address and phone number and we schedule a date for an estimate of 22Jul. Greg and his son arrived at our home a few mins late to give us an estimate on our job. Greg said he wanted the job and would work hard to earn our business and give us the best quote! Excitedly we asked Greg for a written quote and he said he would provide one to me on Thursday July 28. I called Greg (he didn’t call me as promised) on July 28 to follow up on the quote—and he informed me that the person who creates his quotes is sick and he is going to “pass” on the job. 😮

Greg was very nice and personable. I felt safe with him in my house whi k e my husband was at work. He repaired the problem and his prices were reasonable. Will definitely call again and give out his business cards.

The field hydrant they replaced just two summers ago now has to be dug up and replaced. It was a totally unprofessional job without proper stabilization or even adjusting all the nuts correctly. Now I have a huge water mess around that hydrant since the pvc is obviously cracked near the elbow and have to dig it up, replace the cracked pipe section and reseat the hydrant correctly this time with the right gravel and concrete collar. A year ago I replaced a different hydrant myself since I thought surely I could do a better job - and so I did. I looked up how and did it all for maybe $75 total, including the new hydrant. So what did I pay them almost $300 for?!? Hunh. Live and learn. I do not recommend this service. And yes, I'm thoroughly ticked.

Called Nelms asking for help with an pump-out system that seemed to have faulty switch or some-such. I explained that the problem was with the pump or pump switch. Spoiler alert: Pumps these days tend to run on ELECTRICITY. They came out spent a few minutes looking things over and declared it was (low and behold) an electric pumps and they didn't work on those. "You'll have to find someone who does." Wha? They charged us $110 for a "service" call. Knowing this before hand, what kind of business would come out just to ring-up a service bill and not even attempt to fix it? The kind you don't want to do business with. Stay away.
