Dead River Company

I have relied on Dead River Company for many years for their dependable and reliable propane service. I find their prices compatable to other companies. Their technicians are experienced and knowledgable accomplishing repairs in a timely response. I also appreiate having the opportunity to enjoy their beautiful and appreciated yearly calender. I find their associates very personable alway willing to listen and accomodating. Without hesitation I recommend this company without reservation.

Yesterday, I came home to a cold house and a non-working furnace. I called Dead River and they were great! Called me back within an hour to tell me a technician was on his way. Purr, the technician, arrived and within an hour and a half I had a working furnace. Purr explained what he was doing, checked everything twice and ended up replacing needed parts. Heat was back on, Purr was helpful, professional and a credit to the Dead River team. Have been a customer of Dead River for many years and they have always been there when I needed them. Highly recommend them.

Service was great. The technicians Tom and Jerry were both very good and helpful and explaining our complicated boiler system which was new to us. Tom was particularly diligent in diagnosing where the problem was and coming up with a creative temporary solution to get us through until the replacement part was available, Dead River Service was clear about when we might expect them to get to us and the cost.

We discovered our propane heater was not working at our camp the day we were supposed to return home from our vacation. I called Dead River and I was told that since it was considered a “no heat” situation, they would send a technician over that day. We had a long drive ahead of us to get home, so fortunately Dead River called back within a half an hour and said the technician was on his way. Jack arrived, and he is an extremely personable and knowledgeable young man. We were very impressed with his thoroughness, his communication, and his great personality. He was able to diagnose the issue with our heater and advised us on the best solution. The heater was 20 years old and the replacement parts needed were hard to find and expensive - and it would just be putting an expensive Band-Aid on

Dead River is a horrible company. We are under 1/8th of a tank and called them when it was under 1/4 of a tank. With a storm coming we wanted our delivery bumped up. They refused. So day after the storm the driveways been plowed (after the storm) and the driver tells dispatch “driveway hasn’t been plowed”. They do this every year. Some oil companies actually outfit there trucks for WINTER WEATHER.
