I had a very good experience with the two gentlemen that came out to inspect and possibly clean our chimney. My husband and I just bought a house that has a fireplace with a wood stove insert. Neither one of us have had one before and they both took the time to go over with me how to use it. They were so patient and knowledgeable. I would also like to point out that they could have said the chimney needed cleaned and charged me for it, because I really wouldn't have known if it needed clean. I would typically never leave a review. But this is a must…… horrible experience and horrible service. We’ve had Shay Carpenter (owner) out after installing our new wood stove pipe less than one year ago and have had to ask him not once but 6x to come back to “fix” water leak. Because every time it rains , it leaks down onto our wood stove in our house. Today’s visit he sealed the “ valley” of the roof. I am a nurse not a chimney person but this makes zero sense in fixing the ongoing water leak issue. Oh and he asked for us to call him next time it rains to come check it out. I own a property in Jefferson City and my insurance required my chimney be cleaned and creosote be removed from exterior. My tenant contact Doctor Sweep who arrived and she explained to them what my insurance was requiring. She claims she was told the chimneys would be cleaned, rust was located on the flue and would be removed and creosote cleaned from the exterior. (I have a wonderful tenant who has no reason to lie.) The workers vacuumed the open fireplace downstairs as well as behind the wood stove insert. Neither the creosote nor the rust on the flue was removed. They were there about 15-20 minutes and asked for a payment. When my tenant asked about the creosote and the rust, they stated they were not told to do any of that and attempted to call the owner. These guys are a family business handed down thru 3 generations. We found them to be extremely polite and focused on giving great customer service. They were professional and efficient inspecting and cleaning our chimneys and fireplaces. When it was discovered that we needed chimney caps, they went the extra mile and returned to help install them after my husband purchased them. This was done at no extra charge! These people are serious about giving their customers complete satisfaction. They're reasonably priced compared to other companies in the area. Make a wise choice and hire Dr. Sweep! We'll never use anyone else.

Recently bought a house and called this company to inspect and clean the fireplace chimneys before we attempted to use them. The guys were very polite when they came out. However, After cleaning the 2 chimneysThey told me that 1 of my dampers would not stay open on its own and needed to be replaced. So they told me it would be $500. I called them a month later to coordinate the new install. A different guy came out and you could tell he really knew what he was doing. He said let me take a look at it 1st, and he walked in looked at it and then came back out and asked if it was OK if he tries to vacuum it real quick. I said do whatever you need to do. He walked back in with the vacuum for a few minutes and then came back out a few minutes later and handed me some chunks of debris. Then told
