These people are literally the WORST! 4 days of calling and nothing has been resolved, just more issues. I hope this place goes into the ground and a new power company takes over.

2021 while remodeling the house we currently live in I get at $500+ auto draft from my account. The only thing on power in the house was a refrigerator, and power tools during the day. No one was living in the house, yet we see a power bill of less the $40 go to $500+. Called 10 times nothing could be done about it. Today my parents get $341.90 auto drafted from one of there banks for my address and an account number that doesn’t belong to either of us (my dad and I have the same name). Spent 2+ hours on the phone with them at my parent’s place trying to figure this out. First person told us there is a mix up and he is transferring us to someone who can issue a credit. Of course the phone disconnects. We call back and were transferred to a billing specialist who put us on hold for 10 minut

Obviously I can't blame you for hurricane damage but your response has been unacceptable. You as a company hold too much power to not care about your customers. I've been without power for a full week while my neighbors have had power for days. Y'all could have put the lines underground and avoided all of this mess. But no. Y'all have the gaul to ask for a raise while all these other electric companies are the ones working in your territory. Shame on you. Your monopoly needs to be dissolved.

They double charged me when I called in to pay my bill. Then they said they never got my money at all. I had to fax them my bank statements to prove that the money came out of my bank account and went to Duke Energy. Being double-charged could have easily taken me under in my bank balance. It’s a company that has no accountability and so they have little concern about what happens to other people’s money or how long it takes to fix their own error. But watch what they do if they don’t get THEIR money!

They cannot follow simple instructions, or do not care to verify information is correct. They have no care for what their employees do when deployed out to turn meters on. My family came back after being gone for a week to find the meter to our pool covered and the inside being locked with a pin and a paper eith the companies name on it. This is so infuriating! Edit: The contractor called after being sent out. The dispatch LIED to the contractor by telling him that the meter was completely gone! And that we had cancelled the 2nd meter. We had not! What the hell???!!
