East End Garage

$93 a month for residential parking at a public garage is absurd. Someone recently broke into and tried to hot wire my fiancés car and messed up his circuitry. I still wonder how they managed to get away with as much as they did before security showed up. Additionally, garage entrances are frequently closed without warning causing traffic backups. Sometimes gates are left up for entire weekends posing further security issues than there already are. Absolutely overpriced and wouldn’t be using it if there was another garage in a reasonable distance.

I recently attended an event at the Eastman theatre in which I decided to park at the East End Garage. I learned that there was a fee for the special event and the lot attendant initially told me the fee was $7. I only had two $5 bills and the attendant did NOT give me any change. When I asked about my change the lot attendant looked at her supervisor and told me it was actually $10 to park. It wasn't until after the event I learned this was a lie and the $7 fee she originally told me was correct and the attendant pocketed my $3. That is theft and I have filed a complaint and will be awaiting a response. Update: I spoke with an Account Manager for the parking garage who confirmed that special events are always $7.00 and will be refunding me my money. Leaving this review as a warning to ot

Don't ever count on parking here. Almost every time trying to park here there is "event parking" with cash only. Then when you need to leave there is nobody to be found to open the gates. I'm confident the people collecting the cash are just keeping it.

Car was broken into twice in as many months. Zero security whatsoever. Today when I found my car window smashed and ignition trashed I found out two other cars had the exact same happen that night. One of the (very nice still) employees told me usually they have even more, so it’s clearly a very recurring problem they do nothing about. If you’re going to park here use a wheel lock every time you leave the car because there’s no incentive for whoever’s doing it to stop.

My daughter's car has been broken into in the last few days. How often does security drive through? Cameras????? She has only been in this garage for two months now and has experienced two problems. Thieves broke off the driver's handle and left items inside. Do better for our students and community!
