Fairmont Parking Garage

First off, know that if you're not working at the state office building across the street, this garage doesn't want you there. It's for people who work at the state building or monthly pass holders (while admittedly not recently, I've actually been hassled by employees for wanting to park in the garage so I can get a cup of coffee without worrying about a meter). If you want to just come downtown and eat at a restaurant or do other business, get some change and park on the street or one of the other lots. Daily parking means driving up to the top level and hoping the elevator works and that the weather isn't too bad. Paying to leave is also harder than it has to be, giving you a ticket with a code you have to punch in on the way out and paying right there at an exit, rather than paying at
