After knowing about Tim, and his brilliant artwork, I jumped on the opportunity to take lessons from this living master of oil painting. Having not painted in oil for a while, I was a bit nervous about the class. Not sure I could keep up with everyone else. All of that was put to rest when I actually attended my first class. His mastery lies not only in his work as a painter, but as an educator as well. Tim shares his vast knowledge of color, concept, composition, even the way different brush strokes affect the work. His knowledge of how and what the great masters used to make their paintings would be impressive to any art history scholar. I don’t just take lessons from Tim, I am a collector as well. I highly recommend both his classes and his actual art work.

Tim is a great artist. He has an amazing gift, not only to paint himself, but to teach others how to find their own artistic style. He teaches all levels, from drawing to completion. His classes are interesting, and he pushes past your boundaries to help you learn more than you thought you could.

Tim is very knowledgeable in both techniques and the history of art. He is a hands on teacher, giving each student plenty of individual attention. He makes learning fun, interesting and offers plenty of encouragement. He keeps his classes lighthearted and is not intimidating. Tim is a very diverse, well traveled, and well educated artist who has plenty information and skills to offer his students.

Tim is a great teacher that cares for the individual. He is not trying to mass produce little Tim Tylers. He shares from the riches of his years as an artist to help you develop as an artist. His grasp of color is amazing. He has help me reach a higher level of painting that I could have ever reach on my own. I'm still growing. Thanks Tim!
