Garage 31 - Capital Crescent Garage

The worst customer service and people I’ve ever experienced on a regularly basis in this garage. It was pouring rain, I left my pass in my purse across the street at the restaurant on accident. I politely asked the attendant if he could look up my account. It’s mandatory for them to have my license plate on file. Man REFUSED to look up my name and pass to let me through so I didn’t have to walk back. They also accused my coworker one time of stealing a pass. Would rather park in the wide open than in this garage ever again to avoid these people

Great garage but lost a star because the elevators seem to be out frequently, right next to all the handicap spaces. this is a public garage, Montgomery county really needs to get on this quickly and if the elevator doesn't work, you should have very exquisite signage directing people that need the elevator to a working elevator. otherwise you need to start having a walking lane. notated where the cars drive in and out of the garage.

This garage is frustrating to work with. They have outdated equipment and will nickel and dime you for everything. My friend parked their car at 5:00pm. We paid to get the car out around 9pm, but on the way out, I backed into a concrete pillar. The car ended up stuck there until the next morning when we were able to get a tow truck in around 10:30am. So the car was there for ~17.5 hours. I had left my "parking ticket stub" at home and when the tow truck tried to leave, they said that we have to pay to get the car out. I told them that we already paid and the ticket was at home on my fridge. I asked if a picture of my ticket would suffice - they said "no". They said, "That is a lost ticket then, so we will have to charge you". I asked if I could just go home and get the ticket since it was

Pros: Public parking only $1.50 an hour. Lots of space and reasonably sized spaces. Another garage around the corner is $16 the first hour and $24 the second hour. Parking garage seems clean and safe. There seems to be lots of families parking. I love the 7171 Woodmont exit (Capitol Crescent Trail) as it pops out right next to the Silver Restaurant on Woodmont Ave, which itself is near the Pottery Barn. Cons: Payment machines are wonky. Won’t take Apple Pay and only cash and credit card in regular credit card size. The parking cards are very sensitive and can get demagnetized by being near a cell phone or a magnetic purse clasp.

Credit card readers never work. Every time, I come, I try three credit cards. None of them get read by the machines. I always have to have an attendant come out and run it manually. Ten minutes each time. You need machines that work and accept chips.
