We had an outstanding experience with Hampton Roads Moving & Storage from start to finish. From my very first phone call with Christina, the customer service was top-notch. She was friendly, helpful, and made the entire process feel easy. Shortly after, JJ personally called and even came out to assess exactly what would be moved. He took the time to walk me through the process, answer every question, and ensure we felt confident moving forward. They handled the transport of our high school wrestling mats each weighing close to 1000 pounds and took on the task without hesitation. Every single gentleman who showed up was professional, respectful, and incredibly hardworking. I’ve been a truck driver for 15 years now and load/unloaded from countless moving companies so far. This has got to be one of the best places I had to unload at. Professional crew, great staff at the office e , smiling faces and everything looks clean, well organized and exactly how you would want your staff to be treated when moving. They take good care of their working people and outside drivers, and I know from experience that this is the kind of attitude that later rolls over to the customers. When everyone is happy with their employers they do better a job. Keep it up guys!!! I’m really impressed. It was a pleasure to be in your facility.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Our experience with this company—assigned to us by the military—was characterized by deplorable communication and lack of professionalism. The crew arrived three hours late and proceeded to pack our belongings carelessly, throwing items into random boxes. To make matters worse, after confirming our delivery time multiple times, they failed to show up or even call. I was given a string of excuses ranging from nonexistent bad weather to mechanical failures. Our delivery was delayed by 12 days, and upon arrival, a box of valuable electronics was missing. Though they initially denied having it, the box was eventually shipped to us a week later. I strongly advise against using this company.

I would give zero stars if I could. We were assigned this company by the military and it was the worst experience ever. Communication was awful, and the first employee doing the inventory did it so poorly with the worst attitude that the packers said it was the worst they’d seen in 30 years. A LOT of our items were not inventoried. The loaders simply wanted to load and leave. We got in verbal altercations with this company each step of the way. They did not handle our items with care. The packers also left so many items out that should’ve been safely boxed (like home decor), which was literally thrown on the truck. I had to add two pages of inventory items on load day, which are certainly going to be “lost” or mangled on the truck. They even put my toddlers twin mattress on the truck witho

My husband and i recently moved from Texas to Virginia and this company was horrible. First off the communication wasn't good! Second of all we have PLENTY of expensive items MISSING! Third of all they didn't put together ANY of our furniture that THEY TOOK APART! We asked them to put together a couple of items that i watched them take apart while they packed and they refused. He said that they didnt take anything apart even though i watched them take apart alot of our furniture! Fourth of all ALOT of our furniture has damage! This is the worst moving company ever! DO NOT CONTRACT THEM!!!
