Really don’t understand how I went from a house that was 3x times the size to a smaller house but the power bill is almost twice as much, ohhhh maybe because they are buying power from duke energy then up charging there customers. For these prices customer service should be A+ top tier but it’s not. I really do appreciate the very few lineman they have on there roster but it’s simply not enough.

Oh my gosh thank you thank you to Hope, Nathan and Clint!! We woke up in a cold house with no power. When we called the office sweet Hope immediately got me to Nathan in operations and Clint was already on the road headed to us. We were worried about the access and repair on a rainy day since we lost our bridge in the flood but Clint made it look easy- came across the river, found and fixed the problem in no time. We are SO grateful to everyone at HEMC for taking care of us when we're the only ones out of power AND when the whole area is affected like during the floods. After both Fred and Helene we were astounded how quickly power was restored during so much devastation. The kindness, compassion and skill of the team at HEMC is such a blessing🙏🏻

Day 11 with no power after hurricane & lines laying in my driveway!! I have 5 children in the home with no power or water! I realize it takes time but this is absolutely ridiculous to have to wait for power to be restored this long!! Call for a guesstimated date to be restored and they keep giving me the next day only to call back today to be told Wednesday... yet when your late on your bill they are quick to shut you off! Get it together. This is nonsense!

This place used to be good but just today we've had 3 instances of the power blinking just long enough to turn everything off and screw progress on homework, cooking, etc. This company used to be good about 10-15 years ago but whatever they're doing now just screws with the people that want to keep the power on in their house. From the power blinking and the power being out for 7 and a half hours a few weeks ago, I have no faith that they can even keep our food fresh.

HEMC was extremely helpful in our recent interactions with them during and in the aftermath of hurricane helene. As a afterthought, we have never in our 15 years of dealing with them during outages had a bad experience. A heartfelt thank you to all the workers putting in the long hours to restore power to us.
