Hometown Design-Build

We hired Dan to do a total renovation on our 1920s craftsman home and could not be happier with the results. Dan, Matt and Jim were incredibly respectful and professional throughout the project. Dan was able to help design an open concept layout yet keep the integrity and craftsman feel of our home. We were so thrilled with their work that we are now doing several more projects with them. We had a house fire and the house was a total loss. From the first time we met Dan and Jim we knew they were the right choice. They were confident they could get the house rebuilt, how we wanted, and within our budget. They had great design ideas and worked with us on our ideas for changes. It was a very overwhelming experience to live through and Dan was a calming force, telling me that crying was not allowed. All of the subcontractors they work with are just as great as they are. You can see the quality of work in all that they do. If ever we need any other project done, we wouldn't hesitate to contact Hometown.

Love working with Dan and his team. They are perfectionists and great communicators. Dan also has a great talent with interior design and layouts, and can provide Architectural-level quality renderings that really help you visualize the work he is going to do. One of a kind!

Hometown Design and Build was our contractor for a complete kitchen remodel that included removing and expanding walls and total rewiring. We appreciated the thoughtful suggestions regarding the design and products we purchased, quality of workmanship and attention to detail. Jim and Dan Ludwig were extremely helpful in making a multitude of decisions e.g. location of lighting, height of the stove hood, ceiling molding, cupboard handles. The herringbone tile backsplash adds a wonderful aesthetic quality to the kitchen. All of this at a reasonable cost. Jim and Dan Ludwig are terrific people with whom to work - honest, personable and efficient. Our kitchen is so functional and beautiful!

In 2022 Dan tore down our old 2 story porch and built a new 2 story porch. He did a GREAT job. It looks great and its solid. See picture. And it was also the lowest price we came across. It has held up exceptionally well over the past 3 years. I highly recommend Dan Ludwig.
