10/17/25 This Ace store always delivers excellent service! If you ever happen to walk in and aren’t greeted or offered assistance, trust me, that’s a rare day indeed. Every employee I’ve met here goes above and beyond. So often you see younger staff just punching the clock, but not at Ace! These folks take real pride in what they do, and it shows in their friendliness and helpful attitude. Right now they’ve got some cleaning products marked down drastically, so grab them while you can! Plus, there’s plenty of the usual essentials and some super cute Halloween décor that’s hard to resist! 8/31/25 I’ve never had a negative experience here. I stop by often. Just dropping a note, I believe her name was Stephanie, sorry if I got it wrong! I placed an order for online pickup, it was for a small item that was just a few dollars. I got an automated email that the item was out of stock, which was fine, and was about to go about my day. Within 30 minutes I got a call from the store, letting me know again that the order wasn't completed because the item was out of stock, but also letting me know what alternatives were available! I was genuinely surprised and really appreciated that they reached out to follow up when it was such a small order. I deeply appreciate it as I was doing some last minute stocking stuffer shopping, and it was nice to be helped! Thanks!

I love going into the Homewood Ace Hardware Store in Homewood, off of Oxmoor. When, I walked in the door today, I was greeted by four smiling young people. The young man that helped me pick out some paint and items that I needed to go with it was patient and very attentive. It reminds me of when I was young and had a hometown hardware store. The store was shiny and clean. Thank you to those four young people that were friendly to me. All of them chatted with me at one time. I hope the powers that be see this review. Those kids are doing a great job.

At 76 years old and a widow, I don't have any help figuring out many home related things. These folks will stop what they are doing and explain anything I ask--they even will draw a diagram! Great store!

I have used this location for a few years now and am always impressed by how friendly and helpful everyone is. I picked up an order during the holidays and they got the product registered for me and carried it to my car. Great people working there!
