Started using Hank's after another shop botched most of the work on my '72 Chevelle. Car to be built to my taste and use required a lot of custom fabrication and completely rebuilt from the ground up. Hanks guys are detail oriented, knowledgable and thorough. Custom fabricated console around my 6 speed auto shifter and new digital equipment. Custom fabricated the coolant tanks for my LSA Supercharger, Methanol injection system, Dakota Digital Dash, Battery array in trunk. New fiberglass hood and complete sound system. Power doors and windows. Custom tune in the HP computer and the 6L80E transmission controller. Car was completed in a reasonable amount of time and a lot less cost that the original "hack" job cost. Not only did they complete my paint and body work, but they also met the deadline, allowing me to utilize my vehicle at my wedding. Furthermore, they meticulously attended to all the minor details that other shops often overlook. For instance, they modified the body lift to ensure that the body lines on the cab and bed aligned more precisely than the factory specifications. Additionally, they discovered that a previous shop had left steering components loose, including the steering gear itself. Hank also commissioned a custom graphics shop to make a stencil to replicate the original design of a Dodge Powerwagon. Had a 10k budget to gap panels on a car was told that was reasonable by this shop.As soon as the car arrived I was told no way , so I increased the budget to 15k. Work was supposed to progress over a period of several months. 2 weeks later 70% of the work is done ( some work not requested) with a demand for payment of 25k or else my car would be pushed outside. (its not painted). Gaps were not set to the desired size. Hood, Doors and trunk need to replaced now as they were was cut up against instructions. Many other expensive parts damaged. Over spray everywhere, pounds of metal dust left in car to set up rust.Car has to be re-done. Would not accept cashiers check for 12k balance, had to pay cash. It's very sad that I have to write this negative review after using Hank several times on a 66 427 cobra replicar. Every time the car was brought to him coincidentally the bill was always 3000+ dollars no matter what we were having done. I was very happy after the first time using him and went back two more times. But on that third visit, I realized how bad things really were. I wanted to have my carburetor rebuilt or replaced. He told me it would be cheaper to order a new one. I agreed said fine order it. A week later he comes back and tells me it's now cheaper to rebuild it. Does this carburetor look rebuilt to you with all this carbon buildup still on the butterflies? The blue gaskets that are on it were put on previously. Brought in my new 1955 Chevy 3100 to be gone through and have some suspension and exhaust work done to. I always ask Hank to treat it as if it were his car and let me know what he thinks needs to be done. Ended up discovering a few ignition issues that were causing the truck to not start once warmed up, computer issues form the LS in it. New shocks, new custom exhaust and a few new ignition parts and a relay bypass and I am up and running 100%. Very happy with Hank and his team. They all have there area of expertise and go above and beyond.
