We have taken our lawnmower to J&R multiple times over the last 10 years. Every time we take it in we have the same negative experience, however, it is conveniently located and I try to support local business. There has always been a lack of communication, we have always had to contact him for updates and it always takes twice as long as they say it will. This current time, I was originally told 3 weeks turnaround. I have been given the runaround about not being able to get parts, which seemed to be readily available online. After 8 weeks of having to go into the shop to check on it, because I never received 1 call for an update, and they don’t answer the phone when I call. He said it was not the part he thought it was. Again I had to go in to find this out, even though he knew on Thursday

I sometimes feel bad because I bring them everything broken, from my lawn mower, trimmer, small engine, you name it, but they never complain. They can fix just about anything. On top of that, they have some of the best pricing I’ve seen on new and pre-owned snow blowers and trimmers. J & R is a family-owned business you can trust. The folks there are honest, down to earth, and genuinely care about doing quality work. Dropped off my chainsaw to them 8 weeks ago, they said 2 weeks before they can look at it. I called them on the 4th week for a status update, he said he's getting a parts list together. We're now on the 8th week I don't even have a quote or even a phone call to say they're backed up. After this post I won't even trust getting it back!! Just gonna go spend the 800 and buy a new one....

Very friendly and prompt customer service. I called to inquire about any available snow blowers for sale because a snow storm had just hit recently and all stores were sold out. The Woman on the phone answered all my questions about the trade-in snow blower I was interested in and was very patient with me. When I arrived at the store the next morning the gentlemen were all extremely friendly, quick, knowledgeable, and patient with my questions since I had never owned a snow blower before. They showed me how to use it outside even though it was extremely cold, helped me load it into my car, and when the hatch wouldn't close even went the extra mile to get some rope and tie it down for me.
