J E Ledford & Sons Inc

I contracted with JE Ledford & Sons, Inc (JEL) in February of 2024 to build an addition and detached garage at my historic Frederick home. JEL assured me that he was a "custom" home builder and would work with me to make this match my existing home. After numerous mistakes, damage to my home, and poor workmanship, he completely abandoned the job six months ago.  He had installed my new kitchen tiles with 1 inch grout lines when1/2 inch grout lines were specified. Two weeks later they were cracking and separating from the subfloor - he admits that I requested 1/2 inch grout lines, but refuses to fix this mistake and has never returned. Since I paid him as scheduled up to this point, I am left with much work that is paid for but not completed or completed incorrectly and has to be redone.
