Johnson County Highway Department

Many Johnson county road in my area are in an embarrassing disrepair. Multiple sections of patch jobs everywhere. I travel across the US frequently and can say with that when I arrive back at home we have among the worst roads. I makes me wonder what the cause of this is. Are we not charging enough for Wheel taxes? Or maybe the funds are going to certain areas of the county like the city and surrounding area of Franklin Indiana that seems to have the best roads. Regardless there are some areas that are downright dangerous due to numerous repeated shoddy patch jobs. Come on JCHD!

Absolutely worthless. Terrible customer service. Some neighborhoods get cleared of snow then get salt on the cleared and dried streets while other neighborhoods are left with snow packed streets that turn into ice rinks. No help, no resolution, no calls or emails returned. Would give zero stars if I could. Absolutely pathetic excuse for a highway department.

Excellent Highway Department! How does giving a review about a Highway Department do anything? It's not like you're going to use a different one. Keep up the good work everyone.

This department puts gravel and tar on my road that needs blacktop! paving with tar and gravel does nothing to smooth all the bumps and dips and this is the only road in this area that has never been blacktoped !!!!!! What do we get for the wheel tax that is supposed to be used too fix our roads (so far nothing).
