The Front End of our move from Santa Fe, NM into Storage for 6 months went very smoothly. Both the office staff coordinating our move and the contractors hired to pack and inventory our personal and business belongings were professional, careful and thorough. We give them all 5 stars. However, when it was time to deliver our goods out of storage to our permanent address, things took a turn for the worse. NEVER EVER EVER let the moving company "Split your Load." AND NEVER Pay the full amount until all the goods have arrived! We were not notified that our load would be split, until the driver delivering our belongings pulled up and said, "by the way I couldn't fit all your stuff into this load." TLDR; They lost all my kitchenware and denied my claim During my move to Santa Fe, about 1/3 of the boxes delivered didn’t have the tracking stickers on them and the rest had very unclear 1-word descriptions like “Kitchen” and “Entertainment”. The deliverers who were contracted got screwed over because Johnson scheduled for them to do another delivery, after mine, in a city over an hour away that they had just came from. My delivery didn’t finish until close to 6pm, so to be nice I didn’t force them to spend hours opening every box and verifying the contents. After unpacking and and when I needed to use them, I noticed all my stainless steel pots, pans, cutting boards, InstantPot, mixing bowls, etc. were missing. Johnson Moving and Storage came through clutch for us here at Olde World Movers. We had a move from Fort Worth Texas to Santa Fe New Mexico and our helpers had a medical emergency but Johnson sent out Gab and Jason and these 2 men saved the day. We highly recommend Johnson Moving and Storage.

NO STARS would be a more accurate rating for Johnson Storage and Moving. I have moved over 15 times using large companies and smaller independent movers, and I have never had an experience as bad as our move with Johnson in mid-2024. They were unprofessional , careless (packing and unpacking - extensive damage including artwork and collectibles), rude, and they did not perform as was stated in the contract. Avoid this company if you need to move in the Santa Fe area..

I cannot imagine that our experience could have been better than what we received. From our perspective, Jim Mayton, Sales Manager and Estimator was the key. Kudos to Johnson Storage for having such a capable, friendly, knowledgeable professional to work with us, and for having such capable crews backing him up. Jim Mayton was astounding in every respect. When we first met for an estimate, he was cordial and professional. He carefully detailed every room's content and talked us through how items would be handled - both about packaging and loading on the truck, then about delivering and unloading.
