We completely regret using KBS Homecenter in Kilmarnock to do the tile in our house before we moved in. The tile came out beautifully, done by a subcontractor. But the contractor, Marcelo, could not be contacted, unless he was coming to me to be paid. When the tile was finished, and he was paid 95%, he disappeared. The baseboards were not put back in many areas, nor the quarter round to cover the edges. Two registers were missing, and when we bought two, one won’t fit down because of the concrete poured, which I will need to chip out. The three outlets were left open with live wires. We had to hire an electrician to come and he found that concrete was poured down into the box and he had to chip the wires loose enough to connect the new outlets. Not a good way to do business. Signed a contract with Kilmarnock's Best Stone Center, November 7, 2024 for a remodel of our home at which time Marcelo assured us he was fully licensed contractor. NOT TRUE none of his companies are licensed. KBS is not licensed as a contractor and F&M Homes contractor license was terminated 04-30-2023. I'll leave it to you to call DPOR and find out why. Marcelo assured us the work would be completed in 60 to 90 days. As of this writing, December 19, 2025 the house is far from being completed 404 days later. The company from Hell! My 96 year old Dad had a housefire. Rebuilt interior of house over a years period. First appearances lovely showroom and Marcio was very helpful. Job was done with a few delays. Then the kitchen cabinets started peeling within 6 months. Talked to Marcio . He said he would reorder cabinets. This was in January 2025. Also I pushed for countertop replacement as they did not protrude beyond countertop at all to protect cabinetry . This is not industry standard( my brother in law managed a stone fabricator in Florida and did 1000’s of jobs , he told me this).I went monthly to try and get them rolling with job. Ran into another couple that was dissatisfied with their job and looking for Marcio. They said he likes to hide when people come looking for him. We looked all over

Marcelo and his crew did a wonderful job on my 4 bathroom sinks. Marcelo listened and called me to come in to mark my slab. They were early on the install. They did a great job on the project and his crew took out my old counters and installed the new ones with absolutely no mess or us having to do any drywall repairs. Highly recommend!

They did an amazing job on our countertops!! We love em so much. Super fast turn around time too!
