I am housesitting at the beach for friends who are in another country. The AC went out during the day on Sunday. I phoned the company on Sunday night and spoke to a wonderful woman who answered the phone for the answering service. She told me she would report the outage to the company and on Monday morning they called me and the AC was fixed before 1 o’clock. The service technician who came to the house, went over and beyond to make sure that I knew what was wrong and how it was fixed I cannot tell you how nice this service is.

If I could give Kellum's Heating and Air more than 5 stars, I would! We woke up Monday morning and the temp in our house was 86 degrees. YIKES! Before 10am, a service tech was out to fix the problem. He was prompt, so so nice, quickly took care of the problem, and anticipated a future issue and took care of it as well. Every time I've placed a call, Kellum's has responded in just the same way. Bravo!!!

I have been using Kellum for 4 years now. I bought my father's house on the island and he never maintained anything. All three of our air conditioning units required replacement over the past 4 years. Including 2 that went out in 2 different years in the middle of summer when I had guests here. They came same day and replaced the units both times with no additional fees. I have also had several "emergencies"that were done same day and always done professionally, and with the technician (usually Mike who is awesome) going the extra mile to explain what happened, why it happened and what if anything we can do to prevent it from happening again. There are cheaper services out there, but you do get what you pay for and I will always take a professional who is quick to respond than cheape

We have used Kellum for over ten years. On a positive note, they are very responsive to calls. Whenever we have had a problem, they come right out that day or the next. However, I have come to believe they are dishonest with their fees. We got a new heating and air unit in April of 2017 that never worked well. From the start, we asked them to come out and determine why it could not cool below 76 degrees and why the air flow was diminished from the registers. After trying out various responses on me -- "you've got a lot of windows" and "it's the third floor" -- in the late summer of 2018 they replaced the reversing valve. The part was covered under warranty, but they charged $1000 in labor. By this time, Hurricane Florence had hit and it was winter, so we sent a letter with payment saying

These folks installed the original A/C in my house, so it was natural to call them back when one of the units finally needed to be replaced after 12 years. Yes, the cost was high, but not higher than anyone else's quote, and they were able to get it done quickly and correctly. Second unit is likely to need replacing this year or next, and it will be Kellum's I call out to take care of that. Lot's of busy signals when trying to call, but that just tells you how busy they are, especially during the hot months.
