This review is regarding work done October 2024. I have been sidelined by numerous things but better late than never. Prior to 10/24 my 1987 BMW L6 was having an intermittent problem...reduced power and at the same time a shaking steering wheel and softness of the brake pedal. I took the auto to five well known BMW shops and none of them had a clue. I finally called the shop where the owners used to work and they referred me to Leichtbau. I dropped off my auto and to my surprise and great happiness they determined the problem and had it fixed the next day. They also fixed the headrests which no other shops would do. The problem has not come back a year and 4 months later. The owners are very knowledgeable, easy to work with and the cost for the repairs were very reasonable. Of the numerous

If brought my E36 M3 to Leichtbau for a comprehensive power steering refresh and steering rack swap. Byron and Khalil were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and communicative from my initial inquires through to the completion of the job. Cannot recommend them enough.

I’ve had a few things worked in here at this point. The guys that own the shop always amaze me with their knowledge surrounding these old cars. They’re always happy to point out what’s going on and explain the work that needs to be done. This seems to be part of what lacks in a lot of shops. This is my go to place in Costa Mesa for classic euro service.
