Lock Patrols

I lost all of my keys and needed a replacement for my car, as well as a backup. I will say the service was swift, professional, and successful. What I don't like is the quality of key fob. The first few days the battery didn't seem to work, so Steve graciously met me to replace the battery. But since then it's been months, and I can say the buttons get pushed too easily, especially the alarm, which goes off sometime by just putting my keys in my purse. Steve, if you're reading this, please spend a little more money on the key fobs when you buy them. Especially when you're charging over $600 for a key fob, key, and your services. We have to use these things.

I had a very poor experience with this mobile locksmith, who was recommended by a local service shop. We had purchased a used Honda CRV and wanted to get an extra remote key fob and manual key. Steve showed up promptly after I called and said he could make the copies, no problem. I did not think to ask him for a quote in advance, and he did not provide one. The cost for the two keys came out to nearly $700, including $350 for the blank key fob, $150 for "programming" and the rest for the manual key. This was more than getting them at a Honda dealership and did not include any warranty. The key fob felt cheap in quality, and Steve said if it stopped working to give him a call. Steve is an amazing lock technician! I call him whenever we need new locks installed at my job, and he always stops by same day. It seems I call him once a week lately but he ALWAYS makes himself available. I let anyone know in my building if they need a locksmith, to give Steve at Lock Patrols a call. Seriously, he is amazing guys. Such a wonderful person!

Quick to arrive but expensive and deceptive. I broke my key to a 2005 BMW X5. Steve was the technician. Very professional but not communicative. I was worried the key would not work as it has to be programmed to the car. Steve assured me that it would work and said if it doesn’t work then I wouldn’t be charged. As he was very professional I trusted his word. Steve left and came back, said he had to go to Seattle because he needed a machine he didn’t have on hand as it was a special key that had to be programmed. Before he left he quoted me $350 + service fee. I was charged $396.72 for Steve to make a BMW key which is about the right price, from the dealer it’s $367.64 for a programmed key fob/key. Before he would try the key he made me pay. I thought that was weird considering he said

Steve is amazing!!!! I have an old 2006 Honda pilot. My fob stopped working and my door lock is broken (long story).. I called Steve, met him in Redmond and he made me two new fobs in 30 min.. He has 35 yrs experience with Hondas. Also told me he does house or apt lock outs and all cars and boats, jetskis etc. He is so nice and professional.. Has everything in his nice white van.. Serves Redmond, Bellevue, Kirkland. Highly recommend!!!
