Midtown Garage

Normally a great place to park, but the "HELP" button is worthless. Ticket reader was not working on entry. They let me in and said they'd let me back out, but then charged me full price to get out even with a validation pass that should have allowed free parking. No response to my request for a refund.

Garage door on Andrew Langston way locked again…Called number on door that states for immediate service to call…no response…left message…called again after waiting..still no response…walked over to tower 280 to gain access as this has worked in the past…pressed door bell…no response…same on other side..usually security is there or doors unlocked…security finally arrived and let me in to get my car to go to work. This situation with the locked door at Midtown garage has happened many times and is very frustrating..Some of the security do respond and others are disrespectful and will not open doors . Also . It took a month to get a pass created. The invoice has finally been paid. And now I can’t even retrieve my pass. Someone emails me and tells me to pick up the pass from the security office and there is no one in the office. I checked last night and the lights were off and no one in. Not feeling good about that when the security is supposed to be 24 hours. It’s like every step I’ve had to go back in and dig in to get things accomplished. With multiple outreaches and manual intervention. Status paid: but no service.

BEWARE. The ticket dispenser was broken and the gate was stuck open when I drove in. On the drive out I got billed with the max daily rate for having a "lost ticket." No attendants around to deal with, wasn't going to waste my time trying to deal with someone over the phone. Once you drive underground you're stuck, no way to tell the gate is broken before it's too late. Nice little racket for the owners I'm sure.

This Rochester Parking Ramp had a cashless pay station that did not work at 10 PM at night. No one would answer the help button and no living person was there to get me out. Somehow the maximum charge was $10 but this machine wanted to charge me twenty. The building which was once Xerox only charged $7.00 cash on the way in.
