Mortech Appliance Repair

Working with Mortech was a waste of money, they were at our house the first week of August for a broken washing machine. The service tech told us it would require about $300 in parts, and $300 in repair time, so an estimate of $600 and recommended our best route would be to buy a new washer, he never actually took anything apart and looked at it. My friend came and took the washer apart, bought a sensor online for $18 and my machine was fixed. A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME TO CONTACT THEM.

Took guy two days to do the repair! Repair guy had to leave and come back because he didn't have all of his supplies after making my family wait from 9 am for scheduled appointment until he arrived after 6 pm! Job was finished after 9 pm and he brought his girlfriend back with him to finish his job! Not only was he very unprofessional he required help from the man of our house and charged us $825 after being quoted $750 ($700 with online coupon)! No receipts were provided and he did not make sure we were happy with the work. We do not recommend this company and will not use them again.

I had an excellent repair person. He was attentive and did a great job on my oven and refrigerator. Even though he did not have the part for the fridge, he went to an appliance repair store to get one. Before he left, he fixed the oven first. My fridge was harder to do and even though I missed him returning after he went to get the part, he came back on his day off and fixed it. Not sure who showed up for the other reviews but the person who showed up for me was very good at what he does and very knowledgeable. I am glad I overlooked the reviews and had this company come out.

If I could give less than the one star I would. Morris is a CROOK. He was supposed to repair my dishwasher. Said he got the wrong part, and called my insurance company to get more money because the part he needed was more expensive. I paid him the $50 deductible and my insurance company paid him for the more expensive part he said he needed. Now he said he WOULD NOT fix my dishwasher until I pay him $55 for looking at my washing machine. He never even tried to fix my washing machine. I went out and bought a new one the next day, however, this does not have anything to do with him being paid to repair my dishwasher. I threatened to call 911 if he did not get out of my house. NEVER USE THEM. Morris is a crook. I even gave him $20 because he said he did not have gas to get home.

What a waste of time. Service guy showed up. Asked for the oven manuals. Didn't even take off the plate to find the model number. He guessed the model number on the manual. Had me order a part based on that model number. I got the part and tried to schedule service to come back to install. They never called me back. I had to return the part as it was clearly incorrect. Basically threw away 100.00. Do not bother with this company.
