Moving Buddy

Moving Buddy is my go-to moving service. I have moved a lot and have used different companies but none compare to Moving Buddy. They have helped me move multiple commercial locations and helped with a residential move as well. Their communication was top-notch from start to finish, keeping me informed every step of the way. The moving crew was incredibly professional, efficient, and handled my belongings with the utmost care. They worked quickly without sacrificing quality. I highly recommend Moving Buddy for a stress-free move!

I had an amazing experience with Moving Buddy. I scheduled a very last minute move that resulted in a lot of stress and impromptu packing. From start to finish our movers assured me that they had everything handled. They were kind, efficient, and patient with all of my requests. I’m extremely grateful to them for making a stressful move into a great experience!

Make sure you get quotes from other companies instead of blindly following Movie Buddy. I was impressed with them until I wasn't. They do not do the moving, they contract movers. Make sure you understand this--the movers are contracted to work for Moving Buddy. The movers contracted were great! Unfortunately, we received a bill from the movers four days prior to Moving Buddy and thought it was our final bill. Moving Buddy was nearly a 30% markup from the movers final bill even though the quote did not match the bill. A quote is just that, a quote. It is meant to be adjusted. The transparent charges aren't really transparent--make sure you understand every single charge. I sent multiple emails contesting these claims and could not make headway, otherwise I would not have written this review

The two guys from Moving Buddy that helped us out were great! They showed up exactly on time, and communication leading up to and following moving day was great - text updates, even a handwritten postcard with a phone number for our “moving coach,” Gus. They worked quickly and made sure everything was wrapped safely. We knew that having to move our couch through our first-story window would be tricky, but they even helped us figure out how to take the panels out. We all know that hiring movers is more of a luxury than a necessity, so it’s expensive. However, other “big name” moving companies quoted us for HUNDREDS more than Moving Buddy. We’re really happy we found them, and we recommend them to anyone!

I moved from a studio in Lakewood to a 1 bedroom in Ohio City. It was refreshing to get a quote without having to put in my name or any contact information. From there, it was very easy to book online, you just pick the day you want to move and the time you want the truck to arrive. Leading up to the move, they checked in a few times via text to answer any questions I had about the move or how to pack certain items. I sent multiple questions at random times on different days and was always responded to promptly. The truck arrived on time and Mike and Devon were awesome!
