Alex from OCD gave us a level of comfort from our first conversation. He spent more time with us than any other contractor to understand our wants and needs before providing a quote. His original design captured what we envisioned in replacing our old deck with something more functional. Once work started, the team of Pete and Natasha worked through some pretty nasty weather to keep things moving. Our new deck is very well built, as well as beautiful. Pete from OCD did an awesome job building two decks for me. I am a little bit picky and care about the small details and I rarely give good reviews. But the deck is so well built and even met all my picky requests. I am touched by how solid the foundation and structure they built and how much effort they put on achieving this high standard for something unseen-able from the surface without taking shortcuts. We found OCD Building & Remodeling, Inc (Alex - Owner) via Google search to request a bid for a full ~600 sq ft deck replacement @ our 54 yr old home on Wolf Lake (Mich). Alex offered to drive up and review the requested SoW with us. At initial bid, OCD wasn’t the least expensive of the 3, but there was something about his communication, his personality, and knowledge that helped us move forward and award this project to OCD. 1st day on site, during demo of existing deck, Alex discovered some wood rot and compromised structural integrity of the foundation of this uniquely designed home.
