Parnell Tower

Visited on a winter day, and it was great! Only went up to tower and back, did not take the loop. Parking lot was good condition, loop trail was just a hard-to-see path (fourth photo). Trail stairs up to tower were in good shape, no railing however so I recommend a hiking pole. The actual tower was in great shape, just a few stair treads were snow-covered and slick. There is a neat sign pointing out different sights, and I could make out the power plant in Sheboygan, and of course the various hills of the Kettle Moraine. Very serene!

We visited Parnell Tower last Sunday and had a great time. The hike in was peaceful, and the tower itself offered some really nice views. The trees hadn’t fully changed colors yet, but you could tell fall was on its way — it still looked beautiful. The trail was easy to follow with a few hills and roots here and there, but nothing too difficult. The tower felt sturdy and well maintained, and the view from the top made the climb totally worth it. It wasn’t very crowded, which made it even better. Overall, a really nice spot to enjoy nature and get a great view of the Kettle Moraine area. I’d definitely go back, especially once the fall colors are in full swing.

This is a favorite nostalgic place for me. My family used to hime this every year when. We were kids. Now my husband an I love to come up and see the color changes. We did not do kore than the little tiny hike up to the tower as my hubby has hip issues. But it is a beautiful spot!! And the rest of the trail is fun too..when you can hike it!!

Love Parnell tower , another great state park, very popular spot gets full quick (parking lot gets crazy) it is a state park so there is a fee. Bathrooms are available as well as potable water ,pet are welcome on a leash if I remember correctly. Great spot to admire the 🍂 fall 🍁 colors .

Great hiking spot. Lovely view for the tower. Good 5 mile loop hike or shorter if you choose. In the woods and great nature experience. Vault toilets. Limited parking on busy days. Initial hike to tower is many steps. Dog friendly.
