Longtime Customer Betrayed—$10,000 Soot Disaster I had been a loyal Pennywise customer for over 25 years. My heating and cooling system was replaced in 2021 and worked flawlessly—until my trusted service person retired. In September 2024, I hired Pennywise to service the system. When I turned on the heat for the first time in November, my home filled with soot—a “puff back,” which is a rare and serious occurrence. After ruling out a chimney issue (which had just received a new liner), the cause was determined to be a faulty or possibly improperly installed fuel nozzle. I have been with Pennywise for 18 years now, since we moved to town. From the very first phone call just to get info and pricing I knew how this business was run. No getting rushed off the phone, time taken to convey info clearly. This is a family run business and it shows. Everyone there takes pride in what they do and are a pleasure to work with.

Great company. I literally left my old LARGER oil/service provider for them. Previous company I even had an active contract with wouldn't even return my phone calls for a safety issue. When I had an inevitable service emergency Pennywise had amazing Patty who was friendly, attentive, and did everything she could to help me and my family before I was with them! After signing the contract, the technicians were shockingly proficient, courteous, and responded quickly to my situation. I couldn't be happier with the results. If I was with my last dismal oil company for nine years, I can only say at this time that I will likely be a lifer with Pennywise.

Jack, Tom, and the team of professionals were exceptional as they recently replaced our 35+ year boiler and installed a new ductless heat/AC unit in a newly renovated space in our home. Pennywise technicians and management have always been extremely responsive over the past 10+ years we've used them for routine maintenance, emergency fix situations or new installations.
