My furnace went down in November of 2017, called Petcosky on a Sunday and they sent a tech out who told me the 26 year old bolier needed to be replaced. Monday afternoon met one of their estimators at my house, got a great quote on a new boiler and indirect water heater, had all the install done by Thursday of the same week. Very pleased with the work and how clean and professional the install work was. Great local family owned company that does great work.

Had a great experience with Jim from Petcosky and Sons. He was very personable and let me know exactly what he was doing while fixing our AC so now I'm a little smarter about how they work. Called in the morning, very friendly on the phone and they let me know just before Jim arrived mid afternoon. Great job. Thanks!

Bought a new Carrier furnace from these guys and the installation seemed to go smoothly. For the first 2 days everything looked good, then I came home from work to hear water running in the basement. Turned out the 1/4in line going to the new humidifier was improperly installed and came loose resulting in over 600gal of water flooding the basement. Initial response by Petcosky was great, but the adjusters and contractor they picked to respond soon added to my problem. Poor communication, little coordination, and the Christmas holidays were coming, Petcosky was quickly losing interest. It wasn't until I threaten to call a lawyer did I get a new adjuster who actually solved all the problems. I thought I would pay a little more and get better service and support, instead I got the impression

We enjoyed 40 years of fine service from Petcosky, but recently they wrote us that they were ending their residential service and turning over their customer records to Auchinachie Plumbers. Unfortunately we had a bad experience with Auchinachie (look up our review ) and found that any skills they have are undermined by their exorbitant prices. Our experience with them has been confirmed by others , unfortunately only after they gouged us on the cost of putting a lamp near our AC to eliminate the growth of mold. Do not use Auchinachie until you have gotten other estimates.

Signed up with Petcosky & Sons summer of 2015 and they have been wonderful to work with. Real test came today when we had a water heater malfunction at 4:45 P.M. Place call and answering service said a rep would call me. He, Jason, did in less than 30 minutes. Asked me a few questions to make sure I really needed him to come. He said he would be right over, arriving in less than 15 minutes. Fixed the problem, made a couple of suggestions for future reference. He was very polite, professional and friendly. Great service, terrific people and one very satisfied customer.
