Republic Garage Parking

Republic Parking Garage at Liberty Square: Just Okay ⭐⭐⭐ This parking garage is conveniently located in downtown Ann Arbor, but it's nothing to write home about. I recently parked there on a weekday and it cost $13.50 for 8 hours. It's currently under construction, so there's some dust and debris around. Even beyond the construction, the garage felt a bit grimy and could use a good cleaning. While it served its purpose, I've definitely been to cleaner and more pleasant parking garages in Ann Arbor. Next time, I'll likely choose a different option.

Downtown Ann Arbor is simply lovely at The holiday season. With the bright lights up and down the street, the decorations in the store windows and the saxophone player on the corner ringing out holiday favorites there is no better place to put one in the holiday spirit.

I have never had my car stolen while parking here. Although I don't believe there are many car thefts in Ann Arbor, so maybe this is not a good measure. Also, the building seems structurally sound and is made of bricks, which makes me feel safe (compared to if it were built from wood or high-density plastics). The elevators are above average in smell factor for a parking garage (you know what I mean). So, no complaints really. I guess, like everywhere else, I wish it cost less to park here.

Easy in, easy out. Very convenient to Hill auditorium, Modern Languages Bldg, North Quad etc. TAKE YOUR PARKING STUB WITH YOU AND PAY IN THE LOBBY BEFORE RETURNING TO YOUR CAR. The rate is very reasonable too. 7 ft clearance, it says, but it looks shorter than that. Be nervous if you have a taller car.

People are vandalizing cars. The company will do nothing about it, just states 'call the cops', who will never do anything. Don't park here if you value your property. Do not pay for the parking pass.
