Richardson Well Drilling

January 2026 - As a successful contractor for 25 years who has worked with hundreds of different contractors, on thousands of projects, I can say Richardson Well Drilling is one of the WORST CONTRACTORS I have ever dealt with. Very arrogant people. Unprofessional at best. The amount of things on my project - improper work, damage to my property, poor or non-existent communication and potential outright lying, overpromising and under delivering, trash discarded wherever they stood, shoddy workmanship, etc. etc. are all too many to list here. But that's only the half of it. I'm now in communication with the State of WI to help clarify some concerns and am still waiting for Richardson to respond regarding their additional charges (about $2000), much of it concocted out of thin air with zero e

NOTE: Richardson Well is under NEW ownership. The current owners, Allie and Tyler Fain (from Escondido, CALIFORNIA), are not the original Wisconsin owners. This review reflects my experience with the new ownership. My search for a well driller in the Minocqua/Oneida County area began the way yours probably is now. Based on the older reviews, I thought I had chosen a solid company for my well project. Unfortunately, my experience under the new ownership has been extremely disappointing. The process started positively. My initial consultation with Judy was great. She was sharp, knowledgeable, and helpful, and I was put on the schedule for spring 2025. When drilling time arrived, I learned Judy had left, and I began dealing directly with Allie in the office and Tyler on-site. On drilling

Tyler and Karl drilled my well in August of 2025. They were professional on the property and shared their knowledge whenever I asked questions. The office staff was fantastic with communications. Allie explained the drilling process and timeline to me seven months prior. As a property owner, understanding that drilling is not an exact science and knowing that some properties ahead of you in line require multiple drills/longer drills, helps to keep patience during the process. I had a handful of questions since the drill, and Richardson employees have always been available to answer the same day. I recommend Richardson Well Drilling.

WORST Experience with a contractor Ever!! If you enjoy LONG delays, refusal to return calls and emails, broken and leaky equipment, and an overall BAD experience, Richardson Well Drilling is for you.
