Rickert Lock and Safe

I came in to rekey the physical lock of a newly bought smart lock to work with the key of an apartment I am temporarily renting. I like that this locksmith is efficient and has a physical store but his customer service skills are severely lacking. He threw away the OEM pins that came with the smart lock without asking if it was okay to do so. If you asked a tailor to size down a shirt with buttons or clips and the tailor threw away the button hardware on the extra fabric so that you would have to buy new buttons when any fall off, wouldn't you be angry? The locksmith was not empathetic with my frustration but made it right by replacing the OEM pins with comparable pins but I won't know if they actually work until I move out of my apartment into a condo and try to reconfigure the smart lock
