Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Avoid — they made problem WORSE, JUST fixed today..maybe.... I hired Roto‑Rooter in Dec for a tub drain failure. They pushed their restoration partner, tore out part of my walls, charged ~$6,000 for plumbing plus thousands more in restoration (I still paid ~$700 out of pocket). They replaced both the faulty tub drain AND a non‑leaking shower drain suggesting it would fail in the future so cheaper to change all at once. They set the elbow too low, making it impossible to reinstall drywall. I pointed it out immediately and was ignored. Fast forward to Feb — the shower drain began leaking onto my office desk. A second plumber found paper/foreign debris left inside the pipe. he removed it, added some "caulk" and said wait to dry in 24hrs....40hrs later, the leak continued. Then came a week of

The serviceman was very nice. He was able to quickly clear the clogged toilet within auger and wiped any water that got onto the floor. He was fine. His work was fine but I think Roto-Rooter way over prices. I will try not to use them again in the future. I just like that, they come quickly. They always do a good job, but it was just a minor clogged toilet and cost me over $360.

This was a very traumatic experience for our family. We had limited options because the issue, backed up sewer and water line, came on very quick. The coverage we had from another company was for internal lines. We never got to the sewer backing up into the house but it was only a matter of time. We called Roto Rooter and they came out immediately, diagnosed the problem and quoted us a price for which we were shocked. After doing some research we decided to go with them to address the issue. Really liked these guys in the past and used them a lot. Over the last 2 months it’s been like pulling hair. They sold and installed my whole home water filtration system. Part of the system there’s a filter that has a finite life expectancy. Unfortunately, that specific filter cannot be bought by retail customers, so I went back to Roto Rooter to get the filter and get it installed. Apart from the lack of communication, these people keep scheduling me for service and no one shows up. This takes away from my ability to go into work and forces me to stay home for consistent no shows. I genuinely give up on them and their area manager Richard. Sad.
