Schindler Elevators & Escalators in Cleveland

Worst service ever! No service available on the weekends. Our service elevator was down, replaced cables still broken. Replaced motor (waited 5 months for new motor) was down within a week and continues to be broken down after 2 months of receiving the new motor. Now, it's the residents fault the elevator is broken down because the residents of the building are holding the door of the elevator open when letting other people into the elevator. Bullshit!

Great customer service. Very nice people. They take good care of our elevator at The Fairhill. If a first solution does not work, they do work with you to try and find another. I do wish their e-pay said bank name vs. name on check. That is a third party thing though and not Schindler, and a very small thing. I have recommended them to others as a good company for keeping an elevator in good condition and inspection ready.

Their maintenance department and after hours service sucks. Have a 3 hour response time in our contract and 26 hours later still no tech. Stay far away from. Have had the same error on the elvator for the past 3 months and they still cant fix it.

Can we put negative stars? The service we have received from them is absolutely terrible these past couple of years. We've been doing business with them for over 20 years, and it seems like things consistently get worse and worse. It used to be that when we put in a service call, they would be here within same day. Now? It takes at least 2-3 days to get someone here. Sometimes we get put off even longer because others are considered a priority over us. Why are we never a priority? Next, technicians will arrive at the time they're supposed to be here, then sit in their vehicle for another half hour doing who knows what before they decide to come in and do their job. Also, the technicians have absolutely no clue what they're doing. They'll leave saying our elevators are fixed only for the p

Good luck getting this company to respond to you in a timely fashion. They won't sign your subcontract agreement, they won't perform the item in your work scopes, won't commit to fabricating unless the have 35% cash down payment then won't respond with a delivery date even after field measurements and payment is made. It's been 3-months since measurements were taken, 2-months since paid and still no returned emails form their Cleveland office.
