Customer Reviews
First time home buyer here. Seagate was highly recommend by multiple people to us. We ran all the test: the general, thermal, pest & radon. I was so astonished when I arrived and there was a full team working together! There was one main person from Seagate [Jared S.], a guy from Pilot Pest & Termite Control [Robert B.], and a guy from Seagate for Thermography [Nicholas C.]. Both Nick and Robert reported to Jared as well as pulled us to the side for questions, concerns, and comments. The entire team was extremely through and made us feel very comfortable, as well as knowledgeable. Jared was phenomenal at walking us around the house, answering questions, pointing out finds, explaining how things happen, and reviewing over everything again at the end. We were sent a copy of all the finds
First time ever buying a home that wasn't brand new construction. Jon B. did the main inspection and took the time and patience to explain his process and what to expect. Any time I had a question, he seemed enthused to answer; never irritated, never rushed. After he wrapped up and reviewed his findings, including what needed the most attention on an annual basis or replaced sooner than later, he asked that I come to him and his office for their list of approved contractors. This was absolutely priceless...he assured me that I could trust the list his office would provide me, as they carefully vet the contractors they recommend. In the past, his team has kicked contractors off their lists, if they've been found to have taken advantage of a people's ignorance, whether it be a women or ol
I’m a first time home buyer and I was SO impressed with how our inspector not only took time to explain to me what he was looking for, but also elaborate on what that meant. By the end of the inspection all three of us were more excited because we had been able to talk house! At no point did I feel like I was stupid or an annoyance and that is a really big deal. He invited questions and seemed genuinely glad to teach me. I also did the radon, pest, and infrared inspections and they were well worth it. Even the pest and infrared inspectors took time to explain what they were looking for and how they came to their conclusions. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars because they treated me with such dignity and respect.
My pre-purchase home-inspector was thorough, explained things to me in a way that allowed me to learn and understand with ease, was patient and kind with my questions, and was able to very quickly put together a detailed and actionable inspection report for a home that I have now decided not to buy. The money I spent on the inspection literally saved me hundreds of thousands of dollars. Seagate is my forever-preferred home-inspection company.
As a first-time homebuyer, I went into this process leaning heavily on trusted recommendations. Seagate came highly praised by a family member who has used them repeatedly, and I’ll admit-the initial experience lived up to the hype. Communication was quick, setup was smooth, and the turnaround time was impressive. But the most critical part of the inspection left me seriously disappointed. Although Seagate reported “no major problems,” a closer look at the actual findings told a very different story. There was a significant issue documented, one that isn’t an immediate hazard, but could become a major, potentially catastrophic problem in the near future. It left me wondering whether they focus only on urgent dangers rather than future risks, which is a pretty big distinction when you’re
