Sears Appliance Repair

We have had frustrating experience. Bought Maytag dishwasher 2021 and purchased 5 year warranty. It has overall worked fine. A couple months ago we noticed leak out of front bottom corner. After techs came, assessed and replaced part to fix leak, the dishwasher has been leaving food particles on dishes after every load. THIS WAS NOT HAPPENING BEFORE LEAK WAS CORRECTED. Each tech at each service call has implied that it’s my fault. They have questioned if I’m rinsing/washing dishes good enough before loading machine, loading properly, suggesting running with vinegar to clean machine, running afresh cleaning cycle, suggesting running normal high temp and sanitizer cycles, and saying maybe our old water heater isn’t heating enough. I have taken their advice and it’s STILL LEAVING FOOD

Complete rip off....I can't believe this is legal. The tech showed up without any parts (none.... so he said) despite knowing the product and problem. They stole the visit charge when demanding $100 for a $35 part (from Amazon) and $500 for a fix literally requiring the removal and replacement of 12 screws... (Yes.....$600 for a $35 part and ten minutes of labor time).) The tech's last words: "I hate when the company gouges customers" I'm calling the state's attorney general.... this can't be legal....spend your money elsewhere Sears has responded after my review posted and suggested i call their automated phone number for help with my problem. Unfortunately, the automated system (and AI virtual assistant) couldn't grasp the problem. The number is only for scheduling/canceling service

Once again our service tech (today Steve) was excellent in every way. Highly professional, arrived as expected, good communicator, knowledgeable, appropriately friendly, and recommended a best solution for us given the age and condition of our washing machine. Sears Home Services continues to be our long-time go to appliance service provider because of timely appointment availability, consiste nt excellent customer service and reasonable rates.

Our service technician, Ed, was fantastic. Extremely personable and knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the problems and offered a correct solution. He returned to make the repairs and did so in an excellent manner. Very professional in everything he did!

John was a knowledgeable and considerate technician. He examined my washing machine, diagnosed the problem and presented me with solutions. No pressure or hard sell for the repair. Best of all, he was honest. Thanks,
