Small Car Performance

We just had our 1985 Vanagon Westfalia converted to a 2.5i engine with a manual transmission and we couldn't be happier! In addition to being able to easily drive highway speeds and pass other vehicles, the staff at Small Car Performance are super friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. I've been taking my Volkswagens to Small Car Performance since 1995 and they never disappoint!

If there were only a way to give them 10 stars! I have been in need of a place that understands just because I have a Westfallia doesn't mean I am rich or have disposable income. Yet has state of the art solutions and 21st century technology to service our vehicles. There vehicle inspection process is helping me draft a road map to repair for my decrepit old Bus. They heard me when I said I just want to keep it Dry, Alive, and Safe to Drive! The futures so bright I gotta slow down and enjoy the right lane 😎🚌😎

Very friendly and professional, helped me through the process of getting my 68 VW Beetle back on the road. Prices are fair and they outlined everything very clearly before you approve any work. Brought my car in because it lost the rear driver hub while driving they replaced rear drive shafts along with hubs and brakes. Also had them tune my carbs and the beetle has never ran better, very impressed. I plan to return if I need any future maintenance I'm not capable of doing myself.

My ‘91 Vanagon GL has been cared for by Small Car Performance since 2009. Just recently, Michelle and crew solved an oil measurement issue with my Subie conversion. Their solution was epic!!! And I got more than I asked for 😎

It is a love hate relationship. They love my money and I hate to spend it. I will say that you get what you pay for. I have put over 40k miles on their Subaru motor conversion, big brake kit, complete suspension and every other small part that was 30 years old. We have had a few hiccups but they have always made it better in the end. In the last 3 months I have traveled 13,000 miles and only had an issue with a brake caliper which I'm positive was a manufacturer's defect. I live in Vancouver, WA next to Portland, OR that has multiple VW shops and still choose to drive 2 hours for all of my work to be done. Last item I would like to mention is customer service. Brian is the best, two weeks ago with a full shop he was able to squeeze in myself and another customer that were on the ro
