Statewide Septic & Backhoe

After a ton of research and recommendations from neighbors, I selected Statewide to pump out my septic tank. Wendy, who works in the office, was easy to work with and was down-to-earth and respectful. The two gentlemen who arrived at the scheduled time were also very pleasant. They taught me a couple things about my system and didn’t mind my curiosity as I watched and learned. They also offered me a group discount, so I drummed up some additional pump-out services for others in my neighborhood. Will definitely be using them again in the future. This was for service in Dunkirk, Maryland.

If possible, stay away from this company. They will be responsive up until they cash your check or run your card. After that don't expect them to resolve any issues. Statewide replaced my septic tank and they told me to expect the ground to settle but they would come out in a year to level off the ground. After the ground settled (drain field, old site, and new site) I contacted Statewide and voiced my concerns. The biggest issue I had was that when it rains the water accumulates where the tank sits. This allows water to drain into the tank which isn't good for the drain field and it covers the electrical box. Statewide came out and leveled off the two of the three areas but did not address the new tank where the water accumulates. I have tried for nearly three years to get Statewide

We bought a home in the area last summer and knew we had an issue with the septic system from our pre-purchase inspections. Alvin had his team out there within 24 hours to take a look, and they resolved the issue same day! Great to work with.

We got a porta john from Statewide for our contractors. The tech that services it is legit. Fast, thorough and does a great job. Props to him! Five stars all day long.

If we could give anything lower than one star, we would. While I do recognize that some of the delay has been a result of PG County’s red tape, this replacement process shouldn’t have taken NEARLY as long as it has, and the reason is Statewide. We chose them to replace our septic system back in 6/2023. We had heard from others that the process of replacing a septic system in PG County could take a few months, and we had hoped to get started ASAP. Despite communications with our realtor and Statewide, we did not receive the initial proposal for the septic until 12/2023. The proposal was signed early January, after which all funds were released from escrow—the escrow that was meant to cover ALL financial expenses related to the septic replacement—except for the amount due to Statewide.
