We are completely ecstatic with the completion of phase 1 of our basement remodeling. We wanted a media room, gym and our very own little cat cafe for our triplet feline babies. I shared my vision with Matt and he translate it into exactly what I imagined it would be. There was excellent communication between Matt and I throughout the entire remodeling process. It was telling that out of all the basement contractors we contacted, Matt was the first to respond to us -- and within a day or two. Perhaps the best part about working with Matt and Taproot was his communication. We had a renovation job done by another contractor several years ago and we ended up project managing the entire thing; Taproot/Matt was the total, refreshing opposite. He was professional, friendly, funny; the kids loved him right away because he entertained a "ball pit" for the basement (we said thanks but no, although he did make a kid's indoor rock wall work). Every morning we got a text update about what was on the schedule for the day, and unlike other contractors we've worked this, the schedule didn't veer off course -- any hiccup, Matt was quick to make right.
