The Home Depot

Did a last minute pick up for time sensitive project. The 1x2trim boards looked more like a bow for a bow and arrow. Filthy, black marks, just awful! Took twice as long to finish product. DONT DO PICK UP FOR BOARDS. PICK YOUR OWN!!

the employees here actually got really angry and started following me around because i told them i didnt need their help and didnt tell them what i was looking for lol... THEY LITERALLY CALLED FOR BACK UP AND THIER BOSS SHOWED UP AND DEMANDED ANGRILY THAT I TELL HIM WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR LOL.... i just went ahead and left drove over to lowes where i've never been harrassed and treated like a criminal just because i didnt want the employees to point something out to me and have me pick it up and purchase it immediately lol... kind of crazy but hey this is alton illinois. no level of stupidity in people surprises me anymore around here lol...

I don't know about other Home Depots, but I was not impressed! It felt cluttered and dirty. It had a wall rock display that I was interested in, but it was 10 foot in the air, so couldn't even get a good look at it! I will stick to Lowe's and Menards if all Home Depot are like this one. Edit: I did end up ordering my wall rock from them since they were the only one that had what I was lookingfor. The order came quickly, on time, and undamaged! I am going from a 2 to a 4 star because of this.

Went in for a couple of small items, which we got, ended up buying a new dishwasher. The sale price was very good and the lady that helped us with the purchase was excellent. The staff that helped us were all very helpful and friendly.

I purchased a door and paid in full on August 23 and was told the door would be delivered on or around September 12. I called on the 12th and they said it would be the 19th. I called on the 19th and they said it would be the 25th 26th bc they weren’t sure where the door was. I get called on October 1 And told it’ll be October 8. This is the absolute worst Customer Service that I have ever experienced!!!!! I I still have no guarantee when my door will be in their store and then delivered to my house. And I can’t cancel the order until they receive the door at the Alton store and will only be reimbursed 80%. I highly recommend that no one orders a door or shop from this joke of a store in Alton. Home Depot lost my business, I’ll shop at Lowe’s or Menards instead!!!
