This review is for the Colonial Heights store; specifically a shout-out to Jeff in Appliances. I had been looking for some pedestals for a washer & dryer. Samsung has gone on to change the finish ever so slightly than the model we have. I spent a ton of time researching our specific model and makes to get a perfect match. When I called the CH store, Jeff spent his time checking out the product/item #. He described the exact location it was in the appliance section, so that I could come in before ordering them. When I went to the store approx. a week later, Jeff just happened to be working. He was so helpful in offering to order them for me & even told me about another product that would be helpful for another issue. Only giving one star because there is no other option. I purchased flooring from Home depot and paid for delivery. They had to pull from two other stores to complete the order of flooring. When i purchased they flooring they told me that someone had to be home to let the guys in the home and sign for delivery. They delivered half of the flooring this morning through a 3rd party delivery company and left the flooring outside in 20 degree weather and no one at home. Called the store and asked why this happened and was told sorry but this happens when going through a third party delivery company.. Sorry but when i purchased these floors and paid for delivery I was told that someone needed to be home so they can deliver the flooring and paperwork signed. So i would not recommend purchasing any

On 10/30/25 two friends and I visited Home Depot in Colonial Heights in search of specialty lightbulbs. Our search was for a quality coil or regular lightbulb to fit a ceiling light covered by a tight fitting globe. Thanks to Chuck in Lighting we received superb care and found what we needed. His expertise was invaluable as he found two options; we bought both in hopes one would work. The coil bulb turned out to be too wide as it touched the globe and could have overheated. The alternate light was an Ecosmart 60w, #1004 886 954 LED Daylight / 3 pack-A15 Dimmable and worked perfectly. It was great to have good lighting in the dining room again. As far as hardware stores go, this Home Depot is the worst I have ever been to. I ordered counter tops from here, they arrived damaged. I took it back and the new ones were damaged as well. This happened three times. Same thing happened when I ordered a sink online. It arrived damaged and the replacement was damaged as well. They would not do a return and I had to pay for the shipping each time to get a new one shipped. I have ordered materials from here three times, and each time the order was wrong. When they ship you the order wrong, they make you return the items and pay for any additional shipping. The staff are rude and have no desire to help customers at all. The “Pro” Team, know nothing about construction materials and have no clue what they are doing. Go to any store but Home Depo
