The Home Depot

I had an amazing experience. The associate Lynn who was working on December 21st 2025 at approximately 2:00 p.m. at the self checkout counter delivered awesome customer service. She went out of her way to assist me with having a key made at the key hero machine. There was a problem with the machine however she refused to give up and wanted to make sure that I was taken care of. She was able to get the issue corrected and didn't stop there. She also asked me if I needed anything else today and if there was any way she could assist. I did in fact need more help that day. She was able to answer some questions for me and point me in the right direction and even get another associate that assisted. In short she didn't just assist me she went out of her way to make sure that I was 100% satisfied

I love my local Home Depot store. Moshe at the Pro-desk always looks out for me. He is patient (with me) and persistent when it comes to finding what i need..he does not quit until he is sure I have gotten the best deal. He treats me with respect, no judgments just good honest help! Thanks Moshe, knowing you are here, I will be back!

I will never buy another appliance from the Kitty Hawk Home Depot. The store personnel were lovely. But they either cannot or will not deliver the appliance once you’ve bought it. We tried three times to buy a refrigerator from Home Depot. The first time they couldn’t schedule a delivery time convenient for us. Order cancelled after three attempts to reschedule. The second time the two non-English speaking delivery men claimed the refrigerator couldn’t be moved up the stairway to our house. Order cancelled by Home Depot. The third time a different set of non-English speaking delivery men also refused to take the refrigerator up the stairs to our house. They simply got in their truck and left. This is coming from a building professional so I have a lot of experience dealing with HD. What has happened to Home Depot? Bernie and Arthur would be ashamed. Why would they ever think "online ordering" would work from stores? The inventory is always moving because people are in the stores. Do not order online!! It will never be on-time, it will always be short on materials and parts will be broken. They also depend on 3rd party companies to deliver and they could careless if or when it gets there and what condition it comes in. I ordered appliances and it took 13 deliveries to get 4 appliances correct. Can you imagine?

I shop at this store **a lot** and have had good and not-so-good experiences over the years. My most recent experience, working with Barb in flooring, has been exceptionally good and has re-sold me on the Home Depot! I went to the store trying to replace carpeting with exactly what I had installed about eight years ago. The actual records of the transaction were not available, but Barb went above and beyond to sleuth it out and find the last remaining source of this discontinued product! AMAZING!
