The Home Depot

I came to home depot for a microwave. They did not have many floor models or the one I wanted. I had some questions so I went to find the person who works in that department. It was a Wednesday night after work in January 2026. Last week. An older woman assisted me. I should have known when she looked at me and said “All Microwaves are the same” she totally sold me wrong size wrong measurements and swore it would fit. I could not lift it i had to get help. Anyway the reason my for higher rating is when I went back the next time two days later I had the best gentleman so knowledgable help me. Clearly the woman should not work in that department. Normally I get really great knowledgable people who either are retired and worked in the trait or have fixed a home. Experienced people.

Joe! The name really says it all if you’ve ever visited the Salem Home Depot. The tool department can be hectic—everyone needs something, everyone has questions, and there’s always unloading and cage-locking going on to keep all those beautiful tools secure. Through all of that, Joe is incredibly helpful. He somehow knows exactly where everything is, which is impressive in a store this size. Joe truly represents what makes Home Depot great. His customer service, attitude, and knowledge set the standard. I highly recommend Joe for Employee of the Month. Thank you, Joe!

Just received stove. Did not bring new cord I requested. Tried to keep old plug. Was told it won't work, and they took it. Appliance store informed me that plug would have worked. Left me with a stove cannot use until I find someone to replace it. Changed delivery date. Poor business.

I am an old man who no longer has an electric saw or the ability to carry big sheets of plywood. So when I went to Home Depot in Salem Mass, I was looking for someone who could help me out and cut some big boards down to size for me. A guy named Mike in the Lumber department stepped up and, even though he was helping someone else, said he'd be with me in a minute. And true to his word, he finished up and came over to me. I described exactly what I needed, and he was extremely helpful. When I realized it was going to take a while, I asked him if I could run a few other errands and just ask him to put the cut pieces in my shopping cart. Half an hour later, I returned. I couldn't find Mike, but there in my shopping cart were the pieces, cut neatly and placed just so. I can gripe when

When going to this location I need to research in advance if the store has what I need and where it is located as staff never seem to be knowledgeable or helpful; it could be luck of the draw who I am either approached by or I approach. Staff are also hit or miss in terms of professionalism or courtesy. Reps usually at returns and cashiers are pleasant but staff working the aisles do not maintain the same level of courtesy. With that said I try to go in, get what I need and get out of there. Parking lot parking is favored towards contractors who act like they own the place; would be nice if parking near the exit was favored for the disabled and elderly as like any Home Depot folks can enter through the exit. Why not let the elderly or those with disabilities park closer to the exit inste
