The Lighting Showroom & NE Lighting Design

I would never shop in this store and give them my hard earned money. I don't know if they realize that speaking to people in a condescending manner is not cool, not attractive and not okay or perhaps because the store is located in Bedford NH, they feel they are elite and better than anyone else?? WRONG! Did your employees forget or perhaps were never taught the Golden Rule - "Do unto others are you would have them do unto you"? Well a bit of training is in order if you wish to keep your client base and grow it. You know, it is easy to get what you sell on Amazon with better prices and certainly with a better customer experience.

If you are looking for a lighting showroom, so that you can see quality fixtures in person, this is not it. The website and description make it sound like a very large and well equipped showroom with “decorative vignettes” hung to allow the customer to visualize products. So my husband and I thought it was worth the hour drive to check it out. In fact, it is a very small building with a few old fixtures hung randomly around. They have a large computer display, where you can search their inventory, which is a larger version of what you can do at home on your own computer. I spent an hour with one of their employees looking at fixtures, and choose one based solely on a photo—-exactly what I did not want to do. My fault. I ordered the fixtures (3 total for my dining/kitchen area), was unable

Our first light purchase here. The assortment was as good or better than both box stores in Manchester. The staff was very informative and accommodating. They had a good assortment of shapes and sizes and were willing to take our ideas and research them if needed. We are considering upgrading several fixtures and this will be our first stop. Lastly, for the quality I saw I thought the price was reasonable. The quality seemed much better than the local box stores....and with expert advice. Good job LS, 5 stars.

Excellent quality and wide selection of products. Katie’s customer service was exceptional as she helped us select lighting for throughout our new home. She was thorough, listened to our preferences, and made great suggestions for us to consider. We drive the extra distance from Portsmouth because we haven’t found a comparable lighting store with this level of service nearby.

Great Local Resource for any type of lighting, especially LED selections. Both Wendy and Doug are a wealth of knowledge and easy to work with. Both are creative and definitely know their stuff when it comes to lighting design, especially kitchen lighting design. The showroom has a great selection. Pricing is competitive with other stores and websites. I would recommend The Lighting Showroom in Bedford to anyone.
