The Pool & Spa Place

Best service experience with my pool! They have built and serviced my pool and a neighbor of mine since the pandemic. Every year we have them open and close the pool which needs its typical occasional service. Lou, the lead operator there came out to diagnose an issue we had with the motor; repaired it in an instant and gave tips on how to maintain the pool properly. Great company and great folks running the show. Thank you for all your help and continued success this season!!!

Well, they ruined my Memorial Day weekend. No safe swimming for us! Based on their water test, they recommended 5 lbs of shock. Blindly believing them, I bought the $70 bottle of Super Soluble and put all 5 lbs in my pool. 24 hours later my free and total chlorine are now 15ppm each. In hindsight, I could have turned up the knob on the generator to gently increase the chlorine, but I was dumb enough to listen to the idiots at the Pool & Spa Place. They also said my salt level was 2700 so I purchased the $18 bag of salt, but luckily did not add it to my pool because the salt generator disagreed with their recommendation. Thank goodness I had the wherewithal to read the generator first. Heed my warning and do NOT use the recommendations from this pool store. We’ve been using them for years

My pool was opened yesterday - I forgot to fill the pool to the required level and therefore the technicians weren't able to start the filter. I attempted to get it started myself but it wasn't working- called the store and asked for help. Lou called me back right away and walked me through the process, including troubleshooting as needed. He really is such a great person- very patient and knowledgeable and had everything up and running in 15 minutes (and I learned something too)! He has helped me in the past as well and was equally helpful. Really appreciated the time that he took to help and to save me the hassle of having to pay for an additional service call. I have to say that it’s most unfortunate that this company pool n spa bought my prior pool company Mr. Pool in Manalapan. First the communication is poor. Then after opening my pool and having getting the water somewhat clear I went to Mr. Pool to start my weekly service. At this point I was told that they sold to pool n spa. Ok so i signed up with the new company. They send a crew and they did a blind vacuum. 2 days later I lost about a foot and a half of water. This is where everything went south. The communication from this point on was horrible. Matt who was part of Mr pool said ok we have to get water clean so we can investigate what happened. The gentleman they sent yesterday to clean the pool had absolutely no idea what was going on. I had to explain it to him over and over again. T

Had them come out to clean the pool since it’s our first time owning a pool we wanted our boys to enjoy for the summer and could use the help. The walls were left unclean with algae and scum build up still visible. Unfortunately they also left it with the pump off with a note “can’t figure out how to turn back on.” It’s still off and we can’t get the pump back on either. We spent all afternoon on the phone with service manager and have no resolution. I would have expected them to send someone out to fix since their team left the pump in non-working order. I would not recommend based on our first experience here.
