Tramontin Tile Co

Tramontin came out a few years ago to tile a small bathroom shower. I noticed that while the tiles were straight and spaced out evenly, the tilers did NOT follow basic industry standards and did not "back butter" each tile to ensure optimal contact between the tile and the wall . Instead, they plopped on a small dollop and hoped for the best (you can see that the thin set mortar does not reach the edges of the tile). When I pointed this out, threatened to pack up and quit and leave me high and dry. Again, I wasn't asking for anything special, just adherence to standard tiling procedures. I was forced to accept their shoddy work and paid in full once they agreed to complete. It was a horrendous experience and I would NOT recommend them to anybody. Called Mike at Tramontin in Ann Arbor about a tile backsplash job in our kitchen. It was a small job and he managed to fit us in between bigger jobs no problem. He made the whole process easy and the job was done quickly, efficiently and looks great! We had subway tiles installed and he assured us he had a lot of experience in this type of work and it shows. They did a beautiful job at a very reasonable and fair price. Highly recommend this company. The communication and service was excellent.
