Tree Purposed

6 years ago (Fall 2019), we bought a beautiful live elm round coffee table from this shop, great experience, and beautiful product (gorgeous blue epoxy swirl within the round and great varnish job). We sought them out again on 9/27/2025 for a unique live edge headboard (they had moved from Livonia to Farmington Hills). Picking out the two live edge Silver Maple pieces went well. We paid an $800 deposit for the material with an $800 balance for labor – which was to be cleaning, sanding, an epoxy of cracks, and varnish. Lead time was 8-10 weeks. On 11/3 (6 weeks), I called to check on status and J. told me he hadn’t even started our project, but it should be done by Thanksgiving. All okay, we thought, as that would be 8-9 weeks out. I can’t give enough praise… the staff is always helpful and kind. The finish work they do is incredible. We got our dining room table made by them and it’s a dream… we’ve already talked about the multiple other items we want to get made by them. We have been back to buy more wood from them and the customer service was just as spectacular as the first time. We will never go to another place when looking to get a wood project done. Just had the best experience (first time) at Tree Purposed. Great selection of wood species, sizes, shapes. Customer service could not be beat. I was able to select a piece of wood (some pieces $5!), have it cut and planed all on a lunch hour. They even offered to finish it with pick up in a couple days. I had no idea they install and build pieces there, too. The gentlemen staff could not have been any friendlier or more helpful and were so knowledgeable and honest with their experiences, tips, and suggestions. Shout out to Frank who really went out of his way to make me feel welcome and kept me entertained while the other guys were hard at work. 🐶
