John came to clean my chimney. He inspected and found some major issues with the top of the chimney as well as the sides. He explained the wrong paint (should only use masonry STAIN he explained which is not even sold up here) was used, causing the masonry to retain water and then expand and contract as it froze and thawed. He and his assistant took off the paint at top and the cement that was wet and recemented it, waterproofed it, and put on a new crown. They also had to use acid on the inside to penetrate stage 3 creosote that had built up, then used a tool to knock it off the inside of the chimney. They also cleaned my wood stove chimney. I needed a second opinion on the status of my 6 chimneys and fireplaces. I called True Ventilation & spoke to John Melucci/owner.....he was available to come & review what the "true condition" of my chimneys were. John was extremely knowledgeable, very neat & very honest. He suggested I needed to clean 3 of my 6 chimney & that was it. I am absolutely thrilled at calling John, for he was prepared with camera & cleaning tools to even let me see up into the chimneys that were in question. John did amazing work repairing my deteriorating chimney and correcting problems with the previous liner and furnace attachment. He responded immediately to my initial call, came out the same day for an inspection and estimate, and completed the re-mortaring and liner replacement within the week.
