Upstate New York Tree Service was highly recommended by my parents, for doing such a terrific tree trimming job for them recently. So, no surprise that this wonderful family business for decades, did a fantastic job at doing some significant tree trimming of two very large trees for me! The owner thoroughly knowledgeable & having a background educated in all things green, explained the significance of the bit of rot on one of the trees. Also he detailed a plan to remediate & comprehensively trim down both trees, especially the compromised one to lighten the load quite a bit. Having had a major tree removed out front a while ago & knowing pricing (& add inflation) a bit for this work, his quote was reasonable & fair. & Especially nice, was that he could get in the work required very soon, r

I highly recommend Upstate NY Tree Service. The crew did an excellent job removing two trees, trimming 7 more trees and grinding a stump. They thoroughly cleaned up. Because it was early spring and the ground was still wet, they took measures to keep the heavy equipment from leaving ruts in the yard. Because of an equipment failure there was a delay in grinding the stump - but they told me to call in a few weeks to be sure the job didn’t get buried. I did and the job is completed.

We hired Upstate Tree Service December 5 to remove nine trees from our property and dispose of them. The trees are down but the truck was broken and not able to remove the trees. Lonnie asked if they could be put on our neighbors property and he would pick them up in three days, with our neighbors permission. As of this date March 3, 2020 the trees still have not been removed. After numerous phone calls all we get is one excuse after another about broken down equipment. I would not recommend upstate Tree Service as they are not reliable.

They were working in the neighborhood and Lonnie stopped by to ask if I wanted them to take out 2 sick trees in the front yard, which I knew were going to have to go. Asked to show him some in the backyard as well. In total 6 trees were removed, others trimmed and some pruning. He wrote up a quote in the morning, I checked it against previous work I had done with other companies and found it to be a good price. Signed the contract that afternoon. The next day the crew came in and took care of all of it, and even some extra things I asked for all for the same price. 6 trees down and all removed, stumps ground, trimming and pruning other trees. A large limb was broke off and stuck high up in one of my trees for years, and they took care of that. Clean up was great and the crew was nice and

Met Lonnie to discuss tree to be taken down and cut into small pieces. I was told I would get a good price. Did not hear from them for over a month. Scheduled two more estimates for after my return from vacation. While on vacation, out of the country, the tree was cut down. My neighbors were shocked to see this happening and I was not home. There was no contract provided or deal signed. Tree was cut into enormous pieces that I can not remove myself. Out of fear I paid, only to find out later that they charged me three times more than a competitor. I called about the clean up and was asked to be patient, that was over a year ago. So I’m submitting my review after patiently waiting.
